Reign of Blood Review
Title:Reign of Blood
Author: Alexia Purdy
Published: April 29, 2012
Buy: Smashwords
Synopsis:
"Never tease anything that wants to eat you. My name is April Tate and my blood is the new gold. Vampires and hybrids have overrun my world, once vibrant with life, but now a graveyard of death shrouded in shadows. I fight to survive; I fight for my mother and brother. The journey is full of turns that I am quite unprepared for. And I'm just hoping to make it to the next Vegas sunrise..."
In a post-apocalyptic world, a viral epidemic has wiped out most of the earth’s population, leaving behind few humans but untold numbers of mutated vampires. April is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in the remains of Las Vegas one year after the outbreak. She has become a ferocious vampire killer and after her family is abducted, she goes searching for them. What she finds is a new breed of vampire, unlike any she has seen before. Unsure of whom she can trust, she discovers that her view of the world is not as black and white as she once thought, and she's willing to bend the rules to rescue her family. But in trying to save them, she may only succeed in bringing her fragile world crashing down around her.
My Review:
By the time I was finished reading this book I was speechless and trust me that does not happen very often. It was not in a bad way though, the book so amazing that I just did not know what to say. It has taken me a full day to come up with the words for this review. The book was mind blowing and there was always a twist that I never saw coming. Alexia Purdy took what you would consider nightmares and shows readers what the world would possibly be like if people were turned into vampires. On pages I felt like I wanted to be mad along with April, on others I wanted to scream at the book and ask one of the characters what the heck was wrong with them. I have never been so intuned into a book that if someone walked in the room I jumped haha.
This is def a book you would want to read if your into vampires, end of the world type of stuff. This book will not let you down on keeping you hooked. I had to force myself to stop reading it just to go to bed. So swing by Smashwords today and pick up your copy of Reign of Blood!

Review
I have never read a book that I enjoyed so much that I slowed down my reading just to make it last longer but with The Moon Dwellers I did just that! The book is an awesome read with fighting, love, and life. I love Adele's character, she is tough and does not care what anyone thinks. The Moon Dwellers is based on people living in different "sociaties" but it shows you that sometimes people are meant to come into your life no matter where they are from or who they are. I love the storyline so far between Adele and Tristian, they are the Romeo & Juliet type, lets just hope they do not end up just like R&J ;) This book is truely amazing and will leave you wanting more and more but you may catch yourself putting it down just to make it last longer like I did. I can say that it is one of my new favorite books. David is a very talented writer and I look forward to reading more of his work!!
About The Author:
David Estes was born in El Paso, Texas but moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when he was very young. He grew up in Pittsburgh and then went to Penn State for college. Eventually he moved to Sydney, Australia where he met his wife. A reader all his life, he began writing novels for the children's and YA markets in 2010. David is a writer with OCD, a love of dancing and singing (but only when no one is looking or listening), a mad-skilled ping-pong player, and prefers writing at the swimming pool to writing at a table.

I want to dress up as one of my favorite characters from a book (Cambria~Dirty Blood Series) but I havent fully decided yet. I love watching my kids pick out their costumes, dressing up and going Trick or Treating, there is just something about the magic of a child trick or treating that everyone loves I believe.
What can I say I am a Fall-time girl :) Good thing I live in the country......Oh thats something else Fall is good for, 4-wheeling!!

Review:
All I can say is WOW!!!!! I honestly picked up this booking thinking "ok another vampire book" but once I started reading its not really just "another vampire book" it was more then that. It was a book that was a page turner, one that I could not put down no matter how hard I wanted too. Lets just say it took me only 2 hours to read this book. It was thrilling and I couldnt wait to turn the page just to see what happened next. I could picture in my head what was going on when Thomas would say or do something. This is my opinion is a MUST READ!!!!

Review:
I will admit I have never read a science fiction book before this one so I was not quite sure what to expect. Once I started reading it then I could not stop reading it. I was so into the story I could see the pictures in my head as to what was going on. When you can actually put yourself into the book you know you have found an awesome book!! Let me fair warn you thought if you decide to read this book then be sure you have a full day to read it or else you will be up all night reading it, well atleast I was.
About The Author:
Michael Shean was born amongst the sleepy hills and coal mines of southern West Virgina in 1978. Taught to read by his parents at a very early age, he has had a great love of the written word since the very beginning of his life. Growing up, he was oftern plagued with feelings of isolation and loneliness: he began writing off and on to help deflect this, though these themes are often explored in his work as a consequence. At the age of 16, Michael began to experience a chain of vivid nightmares that has continued to this day; it is from these aberrant dreams that he draws inspiration.
In 2001 Michael left West Virginia to pursue a career in the tech industry, and he settled in Washington, DC area as a web designer and graphic artist. As a result his writing was put aside and not revisitied until five years later. In 2006 he met his current fiance, who urged him to pick up his writing once more. Several years of work and experimentation yieled the core of what would become his first novel, Shadow of a Dead Star (2011). Michael is currently signed with Curiosity Quills Press, who has overtaken the publication of Shadow of a Dead Star and the other books of his Wonderland Cycle.

Pages:477

Amazon Kindle Amazon Paperback Barnes & Noble iTunes Sony eReader Diesel
Book Description:Through the corridors of the Windy City’s criminal courts, single mother Libby Tucker knows exactly how far she’ll go to save her cancer-stricken son’s life. The undefeated defense attorney is prepared to take her fight all the way to the majors.
Circumstances force Libby to plead her case at the cleats of celebrity baseball player Banford Aidan Palowski, the man who discarded her at their college graduation. Libby has worked her backside bare for everything she’s attained, while Aidan has been indulged since he slid through the birth canal and landed in a pile of Gold Coast money. But helping Libby and living up to his biological duty could jeopardize the only thing the jock worships: his baseball career.
If baseball imitates life, Aidan admits his appears to be silver-plated peanuts, until an unexpected confrontation with the most spectacular prize that’s ever poured from a caramel corn box blindsides him. When he learns about his son’s desperate need, it pricks open the wound he’s carried since he abandoned Libby and the child.
All Libby wants is a little anonymous DNA, but Aidan has a magical umpire in his head who knows Libby’s a fateball right to the heart. When a six-year-old sage and a hippy priestess step onto the field, there’s more to settle between Libby and Aidan than heartache, redemption, and forgiveness.
Review:
This first chapter was a little hard to get into, maybe it was the magical ump in Aidan's head or the fairies, but once I hit the second chapter it was a GO from there. This book is the most emotional book I have read yet. You can find yourself feeling what Aidan and Libby feel in the book. I smiled with them, I cried with them and my heart broke with them. Binding Arbitration is a book that shows you that not only can true love bring two people together but it can bind them deeper then just the heart, it binds their souls. It also shows that love can overcome heartbreak and make miracles happen. If you want to read a love story like no other then be sure to get your copy of Binding Arbitration TODAY! Trust me its well worth it. This is a book I will keep and read again.
About the Author:
Windy city writer, Elizabeth Marx, brings cosmopolitan life alive in her fiction—a blend of romance, fast-paced Chicago living, and a sprinkle of magical realism. In her past incarnation she was an interior designer, not a decorator, a designer, which basically means she has a piece of paper to prove that she knows how to match things, measure things and miraculously make mundane pieces of furniture appear to be masterpieces. Elizabeth says being an interior designer is one part shrink, one part marriage counselor and one part artist, skills eerily similar to those employed in writing.
Elizabeth grew up in Illinois, but has also lived in Texas and Florida. If she’s not pounding her head against the wall trying to get the words just right, you can find her at a softball field out in the boonies somewhere or sitting in the bleachers by a basketball court. Elizabeth resides with her husband, girls, and two cats who’ve spelled everyone into believing they’re really dogs.
Elizabeth has traveled extensively, but still says there’s no town like Chi Town.
